La Gomera

Day 4 Circular Walk from Vallehermoso

Tuesday 28th February 2017

We began with a gradual ascent to the chapel of Santa Clara, built high on a ridge, and from here, we had scenic views looking 700 metres straight down to the sea. From this tiny isolated chapel we followed a well-maintained path along the ridge with views of Tenerife and El Teide volcano, the highest point in the Canary Islands. After our lunch stop, we took a path which dropped steeply down to the beach, before heading back to Vallehermoso.

Back in the square in Vallehermoso, and time for a beer!

I know they have not finished this yet, but it tickled my sense of humour!
